Spring Has Sprung

I am in shock that April has come and gone! While spring always seems to fly by, this was one of the speediest Aprils in my recent memory. In a way, I'm happy since it gets me closer to my vacation to Minnesota in June. Here's what I've been up to since my last post.

The first weekend in April, I accompanied Brian to a wedding in Denver. He was the best man, the groom being his friend, Matt, who we actually both went to high school with. I knew a few people at the wedding and it was really fun to see them again. In addition, I had the chance to meet Brian's sister, who lives in Denver. We stayed with her and she was so sweet. I wish she lived closer so I could get to know her even better.

Mid-April brought a couple Fries on the Side shows. The cast and writers are really "on" this season. I've seen some of the best sketches to date in the past few weeks. Now that I'm back in the swing of working there, I remember exactly why I volunteered in the first place. In fact, I don't know what to do with myself since we have a week off this week!

Brian and I also went to see one of his favorite bands, Yonder Mountain String Band. Michon got quite the kick out of the fact I went to see this type of music since she's only been trying to coax me into it for the past 9 years. Brian's college buddy and his lady went with us as well and the four of us had such a blast. Maybe Michon was right and I have been missing out on a lot of fun all these years. :)

This past weekend was yet another out of town wedding. Brian's college friend got married in Chicago and we flew out there as Brian was one of the groomsmen. This wedding was an absolute blast! His friends from college are great people and SO much fun. I did not want to return to reality when the weekend was over.

I am very much looking forward to my trip home. Being in the Midwest last weekend heightened my excitement. To be frank, I've become a little complacent already in LA. I need to find some new adventures again. I hope to take this weekend for myself to shake things up a bit. Wish me luck!

Until next time...
